Ignore pattern for a subdirectory?

From: David Aldrich <david.aldrich_at_eu.nec.com>

Hi

I have a versioned Visual C++ project directory called MSVC. I want to ignore the subdirectory MSVC\debug and its contents using the svn:ignore property.

I understand the syntax of svn:ignore for ignoring files, but what is the syntax for ignoring a directory?

(I can't find an explanation of this in the Subversion manual).

Best regards
David
