Hi all,
It is very easy to appear rude in writing even when that is not the case. That can even happen to a native speaker of English. Imagine how easy it must be when English is a non-native language. There was once the story of a man who was lost at sea and when he reached land, he asked the first person he saw, "Excuse me, sir, what is the name of this land?" But in their language, those exact sounds meant a terrible threat and the man was jailed. Not a true story but an example of what happens when there's a language barrier. I, for one, do not believe that anyone had the intention of being rude on this list.
Now if we could please get back onto the topic of how to delete those files from the repo, I believe that would help everyone. Is it possible to gain command line access to the server? It sounds to me as if there is a permissions problem on the files in question. Something similar happened to me a while back when I set up a repo where the files were stored on a NAS box.
Thanks,
