Can't "import" using admin account

I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.2. When logged into my main admin account, I can't do an svn import into an existing repository. No errors appear but nothing ever imports. If I log out and into another account, svn import works and all files are added to the repository. Why would svn import behave differently between accounts? Especially an admin account?
