All right, so reinstalling did not fix the problem... Hmm. It seems that
while attempting to commit doesn't seem to do anything (it returns almost
instantly), the csrss.exe process (Client/Server Runtime) on my system has a
bit of activity every time I try, so the client must me doing something, but
for some reason it isn't finishing.
