svn copy error: path not found

Hi all,

I'm receiving a 'path not found ' error after attempting a 'svn copy'
command like so:

   svn copy https://mysvn/myproject/trunk
https://https://mysvn/myproject/tags/mytag -m "Tagging trunk for .."

   svn: '/!svn/bc/18768/myproject/tags/mytag' path not found

client info:
   svn, version 1.6.5 (r38866)

Not certain of the server version (not sure how to find that out, as I
don't have shell access).

Has anyone seen this issue before and know what causes it?

Thanks,
Dave
