svn: Checksum mismatch for '.svn/text-base/x.c.svn-base';

On svn that comes with ubuntu9.04 (1.5.4 (r33841), I am getting
this error, rather often:

svn: Checksum mismatch for '.svn/text-base/dformat.c.svn-base';
expected: '36f6817c16ee3d13e6977218ffa15b55', actual:
'33fc4a9555bdbce4da86a9129cc32a7c'

It probably comes from machine crash/reboot in
the middle of svn operations, but still.
Any advice howto fix this without full checkout ?
The only remedy I have is to checkout all anew. "svn update --force"
doesn't help.

Earlier versions of svn did not seem to have this ?
This machine is used for kernel developement, reboots or crashes are
part of life.
This is not "bad disk" error.
I get this on several different Linuxes, all of them vmware ubuntu
9.04, all of them
reboot often.

Thanks
viki
