Can she install her own version of Subversion? That's what I usually do: I
setup the server, point the users to where they can get the Subversion
client, and let them do their own installation.

Any Subversion client will be fine. There are visual clients, clients built
into IDEs like Eclipse, etc. Unlike CVS, the Subversion protocol to talk to
the server is well defined, and there are multiple clients. One of the
things I like about Subversion is I don't have to worry that much about the
client side.

Are you using http:// as your protocol for the Subversion server? You
mentioned you installed Apache.
