Is 1.7 in sight?

Hi Devs,

I recall from the beginning of the year all the discussion about the performance of svn on a Windows client and how there was no need to try to fix or improve it because ng-WC would be in 1.7.

One of the users on the list said that was just too far away. To which a dev, I don't recall which said he would be surprised if 1.7 wasn't released by the end of August and there wouldn't be such a long release cycle like we had with 1.5 again.

So, any ideas on when we will see 1.7? I looked in the source and see there still isn't a 1.7 branch....

I'm not being demanding here, just curious. Any bones? Last time I asked about maybe getting alpha builds I was told it was still too early to start testing it.

Thanks,
BOb
