I kinda figured that would be the case.
Lack of staff and time keeps us from getting to the latest version. Sigh! It is on our list though.

We cannot help you with a Subversion that old. Please upgrade to
1.6.5. Manipulating symlinks like that should work in current versions
of Subversion.
