Server errors from CollabNet Subversion Server 1.6.5

I'm seeing server errors under Subversion 1.6.5 (on Windows 2003 R2) after

This error results in the client receiving (CollabNet Subversion Client
Error: Can't create checkout: x:\my\wc\path\.
svn: REPORT of '/srcrepos/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read chunk size:
I'm also seeing these errors in the Apache error log:
