Before taking this to dev@, can you show *exactly* what you're doing,
including the command that gives different results on the two copies of
the repository, and its outputs in both cases? (Plus, say how you
generated the second copy given the first.)

I haven't found that information anywhere upthread (but I haven't read
all of it). Also, the subject says something about peg revs...
