How to restore from backup via svnsync? Or any other suggestions?

Hi,

I am looking for a backup process for svn server that produce as close as
production svn server as much as possible. Meaning, latest transaction
possible.

I was looking into using svnsync. (One of the article,
http://www.devx.com/opensource/Article/39525/1954).

Say, if I set up a mirror svn repo via svnsync, and if my production svn
server crashed, then how can i restore the production svn repo via the
mirror? Is it possible? I dont think that article cover the topic of
restore.

Can someone suggest the best practice of backing up the production server?
Currently, I am performing hotcopy, then archive and testing the backup
automatically via a seperate physical hot standby svn machine. This is
running good but I only perform such an operation once a day, so the
transaction is not as recent.

Thank you.

A.
