I was installing all these packages through FreeBSD ports collection,
but I'm about to do this the good ol' manual way now...

If you have the SQlite source code tree handy, try passing the following
to Subversion's configure script in order to avoid linking against a
shared library of sqlite:

        --with-sqlite=".../sqlite-3.6.14.2/sqlite3.c"

Where ... is the path where you unpacked the SQlite sources.
