I can NOT update code by "svn update"

I am using debian(testing) and subversion(version 1.6.1 (r37116)).

when I tried to update my code by "svn update", I got
svn: OPTIONS of
'https://project.googlecode.com/svn/trunk<https://global.googlecode.com/svn/trunk>':
could not
connect to server
(https://project.googlecode.com<https://global.googlecode.com/>
)
But I could visit
https://project.googlecode.com/svn/trunk<https://global.googlecode.com/svn/trunk>successfully
with browser(firefox).
"svn commit" got a similar error.
Any idea?

BTW, there are no problems when I update code hosted by another server
(not googlecode). Besides, I can update my code successfully in Windows with
tortoise svn client.
