We are experiencing the same thing. Here is the only error message from a time period that a user confirmed experiencing this issue (the client running on Windows XP SP3 I believe):

[Thu Jun 11 04:11:03 2009] [error] [client 192.168.218.28] Provider encountered an error while streaming a REPORT response. [500, #0]
[Thu Jun 11 04:11:03 2009] [error] [client 192.168.218.28] A failure occurred while driving the update report editor [500, #190004]
