VSS to subversion migration

Hi all,

I need to migrate some source code from VSS to subversion. i have seen there
is one open source tool called "vssmigrate" which does the migration.
it imports following"

1: source code
2: history (vss commit comments along with vss version no.)

now what i need is , i want to import the source code as per label basis. in
vss we have labeled some source codes for releases. now i need those labeled
source code as it is in subversion tags folder so that i can reproduce
previous releases at any time.

if in vss the label is "1.2.2" then in subversions tags folder also it shud
be "1.2.2" along with actual source code.

what i obserevd that in vss, there is no any clear visibility for labels in
VSS. if somebody wants to get the source code on label basis then he has to
use "get " operation and all the source code will be there in his desktop.
this approach is very time consuming and hectic as we need to download all
the source code label wise and then import to subversion one by one.

Pleaese let me know if some body has any better way to migrate.

Please advice

Regards
Irf
