svn: In file 'subversion/libsvn_ra_svn/editorp.c' line 364: assertion failed (!eb->got_status)

I'm getting this error while trying to svnsync a remote 1.5 SVN repository to a local 1.5 repo with a SVN 1.6.1 client.
