Help with performance after upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6.2

Hi all,
   I'm running a SVN repository over WebDAV with mod_dav_svn and
apache 2.2.3 on Cent OS 5.3 After our upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6, we're
noticing a significant performance loss. I installed the mod_dav_svn
and subversion rpms from RPMForge yum repository. Does anyone know a
potential cause of this performance loss? We haven't change anything
else on our network, so it's specific to my svn server.
