There are only 3 options. Plain text, HTML, and Rich Text. So I don't know what you mean by "plain html" and I assume you're asking me to post in plain text. Also, I noticed your reply to me was in HTML, and I want to reply to you inline ... So when I read your message, I click "Edit Message" and "convert to plain text" and then hit reply. After I have the reply started, if I want, I can switch to HTML again. Personally I think this is better than forcing people to always write plain text, because whoever is writing loses the ability to format text. Which can be immensely helpful at times.

Correct. I don't believe that is a problem. 32bit applications can and do run fine on 64bit operating systems.
> By default svnserve doesn't setup authentication, in which case the
Agreed. However, I have configured authentication to always be required, and it's always been that way. This is evidenced by the fact that I can see all the information in the log history, as long as I access it via http:// instead of svnserve. There is some more confusing detail in another message I'm posting right now, so please see there too ...
... Even if it didn't turn out to be helpful this time, thanks for the reply and the attempt...
