RE: resin as my webdav server

No apache and tomcat are 2 separate servers. All of my development is
done in java and my apps are served from tomcat through apache via
mod_proxy. I would like to get rid of apache and only use tomcat (or
more preferably resin) to server my java/php apps.

Am I wrong or TomCat is just an overhead atop Apache?
