svnsync: Cannot accept non-LF line endings

Hello, I have been reading alot on this issue but have not seen a fix.

I am trying to svnc over a repo so that I can start proxying...during the svnsync I get:
svnsync: Cannot accept non-LF line endings in 'svn:log' property

The original repo was from svn version 1.2.3 it was then moved to a 1.6.1 server. I then set up another 1.6.1 server as the proxy but I can not get the svnsync to work.

Is there a fix or work around for this? I understand that this is a problem with certain windows clients when doing commits.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
