Upgrade SVN and Apache 2.2.2 modules from 1.3.2 to 1.6

Hi,
I've asked some similar questions before but I'm wondering if someone could
point me to an upgrade process for SVN that also involved updating the
Apache modules mod_authz_svn and mod_dav_svn. We use https to connect to
SVN. Is updating these modules even necessary? Will these modules continue
to function with the latest version of SVN? Are the modules linked to
specific SVN binaries? Am I going to have to re-compile apache and point it
to the latest SVN binaries?

I'm going to test this out in a test environment first of course, but I'm
concerned about down time if the upgrade process is going to involve
recompiling our Apache server.

Thanks,
Bradley
