But that's by the by - I'm connected to the house WAN as I type and have
an IPv4 address on
the WLAN adapter - and svnserve doesn't seem to be listening on it.

netstat -a shows:

  TCP [::]:3690 james-PC:0 LISTENING

That is the 'all interfaces' listen for IPv6 isn't it?

There is no equivalent on 0.0.0.0:3690.
