Ok, users should not be sharing a working copy. That is an anti-pattern
here.

I meant Update. and We had different people working on the same
directory but on the different files.So It would not be a solution to
update the parent dir.

I assume you mean commit not update. You can specify the files that you
can to comment. I am pretty sure you can pipe in a text file that lists
the files/paths. There was a thread here somewhere about how to do it.

 

Something like

 

svn ci < filelist.txt
