subversion aborting on commit

From: Bryan Franz <bryan.a.franz_at_nasa.gov>

When committing a large number of binary-file changes to our repository,
subversion frequently aborts. It just says ".....Abort". The commit
appears to be successful, but the working copy is left in an incomplete
state. It seems like a time-out problem when updating the working
copy. Is this a known problem?

thanks for any help,

Bryan
