Keyword substitution causes file to be modified and therefore requires compilation.

Hello Folks,

I've recently enabled svn's keyword substitution - it all works.
However, after an svn commit the keyword substitution takes place, thus
causing the local file's timestamp to be modified. This then triggers
the compiler (VS2005-C++) to do an unnecessary rebuild of the modified
file, which is rather annoying.

Is there a way around this, other than to disable keyword substitution?

Many thanks, Alan.
