Release a multi module project

Hi all,

As many have posted it can be some problems to run maven release:prepare.
Since I haven't found any other info I have followed the instructions to
run an svn update just before releasing the project and this seems to work
in most cases.
Now I'm trying to release a multi module project and the workaround
doesn't seem to work in this case.
Does anyone have any tips or experience with this? Is the only solution to
downgrade to 1.5.0 or make a manual tag?

I'm using Collabnet Subversion 1.5.5 both on server and client.
Maven-release-plugin is 2.0-beta-8

From what I have read and understood this is subversion bug and not maven
and therefore I thought I would try to post this issue here.
Thanks.
