sasl and encrypted passwords

Has anyone found a way to use svnserve with encrypted passwords? Even
using cyrus sasl, the passwords are all stored in clear text which is an
obvious big security no no.

Has anyone found a way to use svnserve with truly secure passwords? By
that I mean where the admin can't view them all? Even weak encryption
would be better than none.

Does anyone know if this will ever be possible?

Responses appreciated.
