Revert deletion of directory

Hell

I'm using TortoiseSVN 1.5.5, Build 14361 - 32 Bit , 2008/10/24 18:06:34
I have a project that I have several revisions of. In one of the revisions
someone has deleted a directory from this project.

In my Working copy this directory and its files exist, but I can't commit
them. I get an error saying:

> SharpSvn.SvnFileSystemException: Commit failed (details follow): --->
> SharpSvn.SvnFileSystemException: Filen finns inte: transaktion "36-1",
> sökväg "/SCMLaser2.2/VcClient/LaserApp.cpp"

I found the translation for the error in english: "File not found:
transaction '%s', path '%s'" (SVN_ERR_FS_NOT_FOUND).

I have checked out the HEAD to an empty directory and then tried to Merge a
range of revisions, selecting the revision that contains the delition of
the directory.

I got this error message:

Command: Merging revisions 35-34 of svn://ostling.selfip.com/SCMLaser2.2
into C:\Documents and Settings\ame\My Documents\Visual Studio
2005\Projects\SCMLaser2.2, respecting ancestry, Test Only
Skipped: C:\Documents and Settings\ame\My Documents\Visual Studio
2005\Projects\SCMLaser2.2\VcClient
Skipped missing target: C:\Documents and Settings\ame\My Documents\Visual
Studio 2005\Projects\SCMLaser2.2\VcClient\VcClientView.cpp

...
It's a list with every file that was in the VcClient Directory. All have
been skipped!

What have I done wrong and how do I fix this?

English is not my first, or second, language
so anything strange, or insulting, is due to
the translation.
Please correct me so I may improve my English!
