Re: Apple applications delete admin folders, annoying to remedy, can we fix this?

Well, maybe this isn't a solution for a Subversion list, but Subversion's
use of .svn directories inside the working directories can cause havoc when
attempting to work with Apple "bundles".

What I've done is use Perforce -- a competing, proprietary, non-open source,
version control system. However, if you use Perforce for fewer than two
users and have fewer than five "clients" (working directories), Perforce is
free. That makes it a possible choice for a private, non-shared repository.

The big advantage Perforce has over many open source version control systems
is that Perforce doesn't have special administration directories or files
peppered inside its working directories. Of course, it means that Perforce
is much more dependent upon being in touch with the repository server.
(Working offline in Perforce is possible, but not easy.) But, it does mean
that it handles the Apple "bundle" problem much more gracefully than
Subversion does.
