My own personal opinion is that we should drop support for any operating
system whose vendor explicitly does not support.

As soon as a vendor announces that it is no longer supporting version x of
its product y, I dont see why the subversion community should be expected to
support it - if it works fine... but don't go sweating bullets to make it
so.
