Running a SVN server on a VM (crazy like a fox or just crazy?)

Any reason why I shouldn't run my FSFS repository on a linux VM instance?
I'll be offering Jira and SVN via http off of the VM. The benefit of a VM
is that I can get t deployed quickly and have high availability as the VM
instance will float between hardware and always be up.

Seems to make sense to me, but I do have some lack of ease about it.

What do you all think? SVN on a VM good, bad, indifferent?
