Best way to filter some subdirectories from one SVN Repo??

Hi,
the standard svndumpfilter system has some restrictions for the target
question: "Can it also include/exclude files or does it only work for
directories?"
(see http://whynotwiki.com/Subversion_/_Dump_and_loading for more details)

Some extensions try to address them:
+ http://furius.ca/pubcode/pub/conf/common/bin/svndumpfilter3.html
+ http://www.nabble.com/svndumpfilter3

+ http://www.scharrer-online.de/svn/dumpfilter.shtml

I tried some of them (esp. svndumpfilter2..4) - but they didn't work in my
setup - either user or program error...

Is there any working solution with current svn, that does not make user
responsible to add directories, that were part of a copy-queue
(root->branchA->branchB - and only root and branchB are wanted as branchA has
been deleted meanwhile). This would make the filtering much easier.

Thanks,
Achim
