SVN + viewvc

Hi,

I recently installed viewvc for two of my SVN servers (one running http and the other running svn protocol). In the later I'm facing the following issue:-

With the default permission set  (755) on repository if i access viewvc I get error "Berkeley DB error for filesystem /home/subversion/intranet/db while opening environment:\nPermission denied', 160029)"

The repository name as obvious from the error is intranet and it has the following permissions.

drwxr-xr-x  7 root       subversion      4096 Aug 22 11:35 intranet

If i change the permissions to 775 (recursive) the problem gets resolved but while accessing svn on command line it prompts me to recover the repository using svnadmin. How can i resolve this issue ?

regards
