commit message

for the svn commit, i hav a revison/tag number entered by the user, and i
need to append this revison/tag number to the text message in the svn commit
command

svn commit --message 'text message' WC URL

i have the revision/tag number as a shell script variable accessible as
$<variable_name>

how do i append this to the text message.
