I am running Mac OS X 10.5.4 on an Intel-based MacBook Pro with all
software updates applied. I have version 3.1 of the Developer Tools
installed. I should add that since yesterday, I was able to get
subversion 1.5.1 to work by downloading the source files and then
doing the following:

make clean

./configure --without-sasl

make

sudo make install

This installed the binaries in /usr/local/bin.

Building this way has allowed me to svn commit. Let me know if I can
provide any additional information.

All the best,
   Gary
