Attempts to lock a file gives a 405 error

For a while I was getting a 405 error when I attempted to lock a file
for editing. The file has the property svn:needs-lock on it.

I had to delete the file and readd it in order to get around this
issue. (Yes, this is not a good idea). However, once I did that, the
error went away.

I am using Subversion 1.5 as my server and I am using Subversion 1.3
as my client. We are using Apache as our server protocol.

I was attempting to recreate the error, but everything now seems to
work. The original file was added and edited there by our Hudson build
system which is using svnkit as a client. However, the actual adding
and committing of this file is done by the revision 1.3 svn command
line client.

Has anyone else seen this error?
