I'm also adding files to my repository right now. I've got some
projects with several thousand files, and haven't run into this issue.
If you were using Berkeley DB, I'd say do a "svnadmin recover" and
"svnadmin verify", but I can't say for certain why you'd be getting
this.

How is the network between you and your computer? Is it slow and maybe
dropping packets? Are you going over a VPN? Can you do this process on
the same machine as your Subversion server?
