Erik,
on re-reading I am sorry for being rude and sounding like a tax
payer. I am not forgetting that SVN is the product of material and
immaterial efforts by you and many others and that it is free for me
as a plain user. Even if it were not free I probably might be buying
it as other systems have other or more serious limitiations,
weighted against their respective price tags. I also know about the
burden of priorities. What brought me up the wall was the
seemingly stubborn resistence to just the idea of preserving (and
using) mtime.
