Oh, I think that has more to do with the specific code on the branch
than anything else. I haven't looked at the design in a long time;
Mark Phippard's concerns (posted in another mail) about using versioned
properties are certainly important.

I didn't mean to start a design discussion. I wasn't trying to change
our development priorities by my post. I was merely saying that "no
one's doing this right now" need not mean "we'll never do this".
