What Revisions of Clients does Subversion 1.5 Support?

Okay:

I have Subversion running under apache on our server. I would like to
do a upgrade from Subversion 1.42 to Subvesion 1.5. What version of
the clients does Subversion 1.5 support? I understand that some
functionality will be missing with older clients such as changelists,
but does the basic check out/commit still work the same? Will there be
problems if I decide to merge with an earlier client?

The big problem is that the main build system (Suse 9) uses Subversion
1.3 (which is the latest client we could get working), and I need to
be able to do basic check outs and commits from that machine. I don't
know if I can get Subversion 1.5 working because of issues with Apache
Runtime Library and neon.

Our Subversion server is a Redhat release, and I see the new
Subversion 1.5 binaries out there. Right now, activity on our
Subversion server is sparse, but it will become much more active in
the next two months as we move more and more projects on there. I'd
like to get it up to 1.5 now before the rush, but need to know a bit
about client compatibility.

Thanks.
