svnadmin crashes

The devs. report that subversion was working quite happily until Monday,
then started crashing intermittently (up to 7 or so times a day).
Restarts work in the sense that at least the database is not corrupted.
I have no reason to suspect the transaction workload, it hasn't changed
markedly. The suggestion is that some revision must be somehow corrupt,
but I ran svnadmin verify and all revisions checked out okay.

In the absense of suitable logging/tracing/debug output features (are
these available for svnserve? I heard somewhere that they're earmarked
for v1.6) all I can offer is an upgrade to 1.4.6 (the latest build for
HPUX).

There's not a whole lot to go on here, but any ideas etc. gratefully
received.
