No, the opposite is more the case. The average file size in a current
working copy is roughly around 100 kilobyte. Maybe that was slightly
different in previous revisions, but not much, I think.

The repository has over 800 revisions.

The number of files used on disk by the FSF repository is approx. 1700, and
that of the DBD version only 44.
