Authentication with RSA SecurID token?

From: Chris Shenton <chris.shenton_at_nasa.gov>

We've got (ahem) a customer requirement to use SecurID tokens for auth
to a Subversion repo we're building. (for some reason they're rejected
our design to use LDAP or AD).

We tried SVN behind Apache and tried to build a cache into it to capture
first auth attempts in order to prevent subsequent SVN client auths from
failing -- and locking out the token due to perceived attacks. We
were not able to make this work.

Has anyone else deployed SVN with SecurID token based authentication?
With or without Apache access via HTTP(S)?

This is turning into a deal-breaker for us and our customer. :-(

Thanks for any insight you can provide. I only found one message (from
2001) in the subversion lists.
