rebooting the nfs server fixed it.

Killing svnserve (and rebooting our svn server) didn't help... Looks like something wrong on the nfs server.
So far, the most pertinent feedback I found was this one:
http://forum.dreamhosters.com/troubleshooting/91084-subversion-excusive-lock.htm

Following it, we will reboot our nfs server tomorrow, I'll keep you posted on the result of this move.

Hi Frank -

I should have posted a response... I believe that the problem was due to
some "stuck" svnserve processes that were causing the issue.

Once I killed the offending process(es?) things worked as normal. I
never was able to trace or reproduce the issue.

Ok I removed the uncommited transaction (svnadmin rmtnxs ...) but that
doesn't change anything.

I ran into a similar post but unfortunately there's no answers:

http://subversion.tigris.org/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=users&msgNo=68662

So if somebody has an explanation for that:

Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: Can't get exclusive lock on file
'/svn/franksdk/db/transactions/314-1.txn/rev-lock': No locks available

... I'll be very very grateful!

Frank

	Another transaction exists btw:

\\stg-samba1\euclid\backedUp\svn\franksdk\db\transactions\304-1.txn

	Is it normal?

'/svn/franksdk/db/transactions/314-1.txn/rev-lock': No locks available

Please not that the mentioned file does not exist.

The repository is on the nfs drive accessed via a linux
