RE: Question on upcoming version 1.5

I would be interested in seeing what FDA requirement specifies merge
tracking support in a version control system, because this is the first
I've heard of it.

Perhaps the "FDA requirement" is not specifically for merge tracking,
but simply to have proper documentation of bugs fixed in a particular
branch? (And merge tracking is very useful for this, but not the only
means to this end.)

Subject: Question on upcoming version 1.5

Hello list,

I'm investigating the feasability of implementing our current SCM plan
in Subversion, with the goal of replacing our current tool (ClearCase)
over time.

One rather crucial aspect for us is merge tracking support (FDA
requirement -- we manufacture medical devices). Hence my interest in
version 1.5.

I've read this document:

<http://subversion.tigris.org/merge-tracking/requirements.html>

that lists the use cases to be covered by merge tracking, and I'm quite
happy with what it contains.

Now my question: can someone tell me / point me to a document that
details how much of those use cases are indeed implemented in the
upcoming version 1.5 (or will be, when it is officially released) ?

Thanks in advance,

Ph. A.
