How SVN stores Versions on the Server and Configuration Changes

I have a question has to how the SVN stores versions of files.I used:http://blogs.vertigosoftware.com/teamsystem/archive/2006/01/16/Setting_up_a_Subversion_Server_under_Windows.aspxto set up my server.I had no problems making the server, or getting it working on my windows computer.I then started messing around with uploading and changing files to see how the size of the repository on the server would change.I uploaded(commited) a 5 MB file (song)(change the Reop by about ~3MB)Then I opened it in note pad and changed part of the ID3 tags(just to make a small change to it).The first time I did this(commit the change) the whole repo only changed by about 1K.However the next time I made a change and commited it, it took up about ~3MB (the same as the first upload of the file)The 3rd time, was back to 1KThe 4th was again ~3MB.does SVN keep a "FULL" copy of a changed file every other time?Is there a setting to change it so only every 10th upload if the full file size?Or is what I'm seeing totally off base? Thanks
