You can do that! :-)

The effort of turning an informative mailing list thread into a new FAQ
entry (and/or integrating the information into the 1.5 release notes) is
mostly about re-arranging and organizing what people have said in the
thread. If you produce that patch, we can review it and check it into
the Subversion web site, and everybody wins... (hint, hint :-) ).
