Yes. You can set up a slave server in Tokyo, and use the transparent
write-through proxy feature to send write requests back to the master
in London. Some say the write-through proxy feature is only in
Subversion 1.5 which is not yet released (though it's on its 5th
release candidate, so it should be released in final version soon).
Others say the write-through proxy can already be implemented with
Subversion 1.4.x. There are some blogs around that explain how to it
set up.
