You may want to run a fresh campaign to introduce this change in the list's settings. Some years ago, there was a discussion about this and there were good points both for and against this change, the final decision was "no". I personally would vote for it and roughly 5 posters per week run into the the same problem and forget to hit "Reply All", so those may also vote for it.
